Welcome. My name is Barbara Benneian. I am a graphic designer and computer instructor in Los Angeles. I became certified in Photoshop in April of 2000 and it was my job to put together both a beginning and advanced class to effectively teach the software.

There is a wealth of great Photoshop information out there and I had such a good time putting together the lesson plans that I decided to recommend to others the various books and Internet sites where I learned the some of tricks of the trade.

The following slides are samples of some of my work. Most of my serious learning has come from Adobe Photoshop's Classroom in a Book and Photoshop Web Magic.

Simply click on each of the slides to get the "big picture" and a few words on how they were done. In the near future, I will include some tutorials on this website, as well, so check back again soon.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Adobe Photoshop Home Site This is always a great place to pick up tips from the source.

Planet Photoshop I can't say enough about this site, really. I find this to be the premiere Photoshop playground on the web. You will find this to be a wonderful site filled with up-to-date tutorials. There's a lot here. Make more coffee.

Photoshop Cafe This is another nice site. They feature Special FX, Text FX, Textures and Misc. tutorials. You will also find sections for tips and actions.

Worth 1000 This site is too much fun. Besides having several amusing Photoshop contests, they offer amazing tutorials. I was thrilled by the "Let's Rock" tutorial, a lesson that explains how to make a human subject look like a statue.

Adobe Photoshop Basics Sometimes the tutorial sites can be a bit challenging for the beginner. Here Sue Chastain offers a basic course in Photoshop for those who are just getting started.
